Dear friends of the Park
Although the sun has not always been part of this summer, the hearts
were full of joy and the bodies danced to the rhythm of chainsaws,
trimmers, and walks to the waste disposal ...
The preparatory work for the great labour of the season has progressed
and these moments of physical exertion were interspersed with moments
of relaxation, walking, contemplation, reflection and inspiration ...(see sections on recent activities)
Summer is not over ... And the
next 4 weeks, last of the summer and re-entry will allow us to
intensify our efforts to collect what is still missing from the amount
required for the work of the Centre of Studies and ancillary works (roads, portal and monolith pavements, fountains, septic tank ...).
The park needs the mobilization of all to get a radiant heart (that
is: "the Centre of Studies") brand new and ... warm! No more big
jackets to work in the great hall, no more woolly socks to sleep at the
Centre of Studies ... It will be all cosy when the work is done!

Last winter we learned how much our Park changes its appearance after
rain and snow ... To take advantage of these beauties without suffering
the inconvenience and mudded boots and sneakers in the clay soil of the
Park, we shall lay some stone paths that connect our favourite spots:
hermitage, monolith, etc. ...
The laying of the stone paths will begin Sunday, August 21. Volunteers are welcome!
As part of the regular Friday meetings, and in the context of our inspirational readings, we propose the study and reading of the chat by Silo "The attention, the guide and inner silence." This text contains important tips and recommendations for those who would like to deepen into the themes of meditation, attention, and the Guide. It is therefore also a reading in preparation of a seminar to be held the next day.

Sometimes its translation as a presence, provide company to go into deeper still and more sacred areas of the Mind."

Memorial evening about Silo’s passing
A year ago, Silo left for other spaces and at other times. The emotion and the wave of gratefulness that accompanied his departure have not exhausted the deep desire to pay homage to him.
Video projections, photographs, readings, stories, ceremonies will punctuate the evening. It is not so much a nostalgic return to the past as a powerful projection towards the future about the teachings of a great Master. So we want to invite as many people as possible to the event so that everyone has the opportunity to hear his message.

The film, which opens so many opportunities, was preceded by a moment of great inspiration. Helga playing the violin and Catherine the piano took very high all those present in a concert offered as an introduction in which they played the Ave Maria by Gounod.
A big thank you to them both and we shall listen to the next concert at the Park with joy.
Group interchange of Masters (Centre of Studies)
During three weekends, dozens of Masters applied to the Park met. The day began with beautiful ceremonies to bring forth the inspiration and strength we need. Small groups of interchange on the ascesis and on the progress of each process were organized spontaneously here and there. Friends from the provinces and from abroad were also present. Everyone was able to have their questions concerning the work of the Park answered, and advance from comprehension to comprehension through the interchange of experience. Now the Masters can come the first Sunday of each month for informal meetings.
July 23,
Presentation of the monograph by Alain Ducq
At the request of several attendees at the weekend in the park, Alain Ducq presented his study on "The path of devotional Sufi in Iraq in the eighth and ninth centuries."
Punctuating his testimony with readings of poems inspired by great mystics, it was with quiet but deep emotion that Alain provided those present with the infinite richness found in this study, the obstacles he had to overcome in the investigation and the close relationship with his own work. A big thank you to him for sharing what has created a particular harmony, as soft as music, light as a breeze at dawn, full of projections like a rising sun.

From July 29 to August 9:
"The five elements", photo exhibition and conference
An exhibition of forty photographs taken by Anne Montané showing our Park from four different angles: earth, air, water, fire ... which were the main theme of these pictures ... and the ride is concluded with mischievous eyes, deep, joyful, inspired by friends suggesting the apparent Presence of the fifth element.

The week ends with a "conference-experience," said the notice posted in all businesses on a 20 km radius and in the local press. However, there was no conference, but the screening of two slide shows: incursion into alchemical sculpture and narration that sometimes led visitors into the experiences of profound inspiration.
The evening ended with a friendly hot buffet dinner, and since among the guests there were storytellers, like children we gathered around the fire to listen to a story, we enjoyed the story of the "sage who dreamed of becoming a butterfly"...

From August 12 to 15
The weekend of "logging"
The Romans and Greeks were familiar with the trees around us. Mostly, they worshiped them to justify giving them a divine incarnation. Sometimes the demigods and mortals were transformed into trees to escape the fiery impulses of the gods in love ... Daphne escaped the desire of Apollo by turning into laurel, and Leuk, coveted by Hades, into a white Poplar...
While
we are enjoying a delicious elderberry jam (thank you Jean Michel V.)
the berries being called food of the gods, we have ignored these divine
or semi-divine incarnations and followed boldly one small team of
professionals cutting and pruning trees ... We had to free the centre
of studies prior to repairing the roof and also allow our neighbours to
cultivate their land on which our trees were displayed in all their
majesty behind the pond... At dawn (yes, yes! We even saw the sun rise and its unknown colours), no fewer than 24 people put themselves to work in a very friendly, very happy atmosphere... and hard work. A very large number of branches, twigs was cut, hauled, stored, disposed of as green waste ...
A special thank you to Claire, Sam and Kevin for their hard volunteer work, their tone and their joy. Special congratulations to all the collaborators for the tremendous work done in two days, including the kitchen!

Also
in preparation for the renovation of the Centre for the Studies, the
preparatory work has made great progress in recent weeks: storage of
all the nooks and crannies, clearing the rubble, knocking down brick
walls and unnecessary walls removal of the rooms and beds, etc.. etc
... Nothing could stop the initial enthusiasm, not even small incidents
(cutting oneself, getting stung / sratching oneself, falls ... a few
stitches and a bandage ... and start again!)What does a frame look like before being a frame??

Dear Friends of the Park
Time is running at full speed, the arms are active, the hearts vibrate
with the advances but the heads are worried ... ... about the cost to
finish the works.
So in conclusion, let's talk money!
We
have received so far, 35,800 Euros in donations for the work of the
Centre of Studies, and many more "promises to come" ... to finance the
complete rehabilitation of the structure, renovation of the entire
Centre of Studies, the septic tank (new estimate in the study), the
paths, the fountain, the stele...
To help us meet the challenge, we divided the gathering of the necessary funds into four parts..
July 1st (24,000 euros of the 25 000 expected), another for September 1
(to date 10 000 arrived of the 25,000 expected), 25,000 on October 1
and the rest (which will be reassessed based on new estimates) by
November 1.
Therefore we needed not only "promises" to be fulfilled but we still need more donations and new donors ...
We know that only a group of people with generous hearts can make a
place like ours. We know that we have this group. We know that our park
is an important place, a refuge, a sacred place for more people every
time... Let us dare to ask for help so that our park may grow and
irradiates further and further everytime...
